I got this from a very good friend of mine who is “cooking challenged”. While there are only two ingredients, this has been one of the most popular dips I’ve ever made. One 4th of July party I went to I kind of made our host mad. He had a big batch of ribs and other tasty stuff he was fixing on the barbecue. Since that was going to take a while I went ahead an made a batch of my dip. Everyone loved it, ate all of it, and I made another batch. By the time his food was ready everyone was too full of dip and chips to eat anything else. Do you think that might be why he never invited me back again?
Here’s that big ingredient list:
1 can chili no beans
1 box (1 lb) Velveeta mild, medium or hot Mexican cheese (depending upon how spicy you want it)
Combine ingredients in either a crock pot or microwave safe bowl. Heat till cheese melts, stir to combine. Serve with nacho chips (I like the scoop kind).
Enjoy!
